I attended Poly from September 1959 to June 1964, Form II to Form VI, ages 11 to 16. Memorable is the euphemism for the thoughts, emotions, feelings and activities I have had in the last 60 years because of my age and experiences at Dyker Heights. Events flood back often.

Prophetically, prior to Poly, I attended Brooklyn Ethical Culture School on Prospect Park West, next to Poly's current Lower School.

Fear, insecurity and unknown expectations of myself transformed into a life of seeing the total picture as well as an attention to details.

I became a pediatrician more concerned for his patients and his staff than for financial remuneration. I believe Poly instilled those values in me.

I became a loving husband who shared and shares joys and sorrows with a wife for 51 years. Poly taught me responsibility, honesty, accountability, accommodation, compromise and mutual respect. Poly's values are the basis of that relationship.

I am forever grateful to Poly for the emphasis on mind, body and character taught in the classrooms, on the athletic fields and in the relationships with my classmates—then and now.
